Presenting our top selling games of 2025!

The year of 2025 saw so many new indie rpgs we were scrambling to get as many as we could in stock. What a year! In this article, we’ll reveal our top 5 most popular games of 2025, which are doing just as well in 2026. We had three returns from 2024, along with two new entrants.

5. The Monster Overhaul

Previous position: 3

This huge tome is not a game at all, but in fact a massive (massive!!!) bestiary designed for at the table use for a wide range of games you might run in a system of your choice, and is especially designed for old-school fantasy systems.

However, the Monster Overhaul is more than simply a 336 page list of monsters. The charm of the book, and why I think it’s so popular, is how usable it is. The book aims to provide GMs with the tools they need without slowing the session down at all.

4. The Wildsea

Previous position: 2

The Wildsea, a fantasy rpg about being sailors in a world grown over with verdant (and often deadly) greenery, has been truly popular this year, and for a good reason. If you haven’t encountered Wildsea before, you basically play a motley, rag-tag, and not altogether crew of a chainsaw driven ship cutting its way across dense tree tops to survive and do business in a post-fall world filled with plants.

One of the things I like about Wildsea is how flexible it is while still being very specific in what it is about. You make your own ship, decide on the purpose of your crew, and concoct your individual characters to make your story one of a kind. However, the themes of surviving in a harsh world, the importance of community, and the effects of losing yourself to the Wildsea come through in every game.

3. Slugblaster

New entrant

Slugblaster is one of the more unusual games to hit our top five, but it is extremely well executed. The basic premise: interdimensional skating. Yep, that’s right just your everyday teenage life of sneaking into alternate dimensions to film hoverboard tricks and generally ignore your problems.

What makes this game so cool is how dripping it is with flavor in every page. Especially in the much popular and eternally selling out Game of the Year boxed edition, where the box itself even unfolds to make a neat GM screen!

2. Thousand Year Old Vampire

Previous position: 1

Our top selling game of 2022, 2023 and 2024, I have to admit I was shocked when it was beaten out in 2025 by just 6 sales! A Thousand Year Old Vampire has well and truly cemented its place as a solo classic and must play for all fans of roleplaying game design and solo-gaming.

In A Thousand Year Old Vampire, you play, unsurprisingly, a vampire, and tell their tale which spans at least hundreds, if not a thousand years. This is not your sexy urban fantasy vampire – this is a true blood drinking horror, although of course just how horrifying you choose to lead them in their story is up to you.

The amazing thing about A Thousand Year Old Vampire is the way it keeps you completely hooked, telling your vampire’s story one tiny piece at a time, and then connecting them together over decades, centuries, and beyond. I guarantee you this game will throw you multiple gut punches, but that’s part of its charm – and of course, part of being a vampire.

1. Mothership

New entrant

What else could outsell Thousand Year Old Vampire to take the top spot but Mothership? And in most cases the Mothership means the Mothership Deluxe Set, a resplendent, giant beautifully adorned, giant box of mothership that is just oh-so satisfying to open.

The thing that makes Mothership so good, to me at least, isn’t the rules at all – but rather the evocative, intuitive and atmospheric way every single piece of information you need to play is presented. It almost feels like you start playing before you play, just by reading through the individual zines in the set. The base rules itself are serviceable, but the tremendous amount of flavour, setting info, and modules they support is truly something.
